Asger Juel Larsen vs. T.Lipop S/S 2012 Collection at London Fashion Week
Designers Asger Juel Larsen and T.Lipop decided to have a dual with their collection showcasing a contrasting view on fashion. One being extreme and grudgy while the other gentlemanly and suave.
Originally from Denmark, Larsen graduated from the London College of Fashion in 2009 with his street-style meet dark rock theme. His items included hooded tops, skull printed jackets, leather trousers with slits and tops with graphic slogans just to make that first impression that bit more memorable. For that added edge his accessories included bearded spikes, platform shoes for men and head gear that came down to the models knees. As with most grunge looks, black become the dominant colour but shades of camel and beige did start to appear within his pieces.

In sharp contract T.Lipop, having already worked with Nathan Jenden, House of Holland, Griffin Laundry and Halfpenny London, presented a more refined, technically luxurious collection with detailed embroidery and printed tops complimenting sharply coloured garments such as blazers and trousers. The casual wear items are ideal for the beach emphasising comfort and practicality while his formal wear were slim lined and chicly trimmed. Overall a cool, neat, quirky collection that would be highly desirable in any male wardrobe that is fashion conscious.
