Trine Lindegaard S/S 2012 Collection at London Fashion Week
Trine Lindegaard, an MA graduate from Royal College of Art, started making clothes at a young age mainly due to the lack of interesting clothes that were available at the time in the small Danish town she grew up in. She draws inspiration from geeky, bookish figures that she first encountered in her Danish town to mundane household items found in her home in Dalston, London. Her starting point for her spring summer collection was of course the elastic band where its simple, linear structure created the leathery, almost feature like texture to her vibrantly coloured garments. Some would use unorthodox or eccentric to describe her collection. TheStyleColumn prefers to use exceptional. And it truly is.
